Red Moon

This exercise focused on the use of the Marquee tool. Using the tool I selected different elements from a range of images to create the shown collage. The road was brought over using a rectangular marquee tool with a feathered edge to allow it to fade into the red sky from the image it was placed onto. The moon was brought over using a similar technique but using the elliptical marquee tool. Although i have made a few different collages i haven't used the Marquee tool in this way and this was a good exercise on learning the different functions i could use with it. The colour adjustments were made using the Colour match function found in image > Adjustments. This allowed me to select the Redsky and change the colours on the other layers to match it. The moon needed a little more work before hand. When selected using Image > Adjustments > Invert it changes the normal moon colour into a deep blue colour. Doing this before the colour match gives it a nicer red colour.
